MYERSVILLE, MD – July 13, 2011 – Musket Ridge is proud to announce the winning couple of its Love & Liberty Wedding Giveaway. Eddie Casinover served in the U.S. Army for nine years and continues to serve our country working for the Department of Defense. Musket Ridge is giving Casinover and his fiancée, Christine Briggs, a complimentary wedding at the award-winning Catoctin Hall at Musket Ridge on Sunday, September 11, 2011.

Eddie was in the Army from 2000-2008, first stationed in Europe where he then re-enlisted to deploy with the 101st Airborne Division to the Middle East and various other sensitive assignments. Eddie is a service-disabled veteran now working for the Department of Defense. He met Christine through an Army buddy and proposed on May 20, 2011, the couple’s five-year anniversary.

Musket Ridge created the Love & Liberty Wedding Giveaway to recognize the bravery of the military and first responders in the 10th anniversary of both the Club and the tragic events of 9/11/01. Damon DeVito, managing director of Affinity Management (www.affinitymanagement.com), which operates Musket Ridge, said, “We received many entries for this contest - stories that will bring you to tears. It was tough to pick one. Eddie served his country far from home at the highest level, and ultimately experienced an injury. He is modest about all of it. Musket Ridge aims to treat every wedding couple as VIPs, but you can bet that everyone at Musket will be going the extra mile to make Eddie and Christine’s day special.”

Musket Ridge will donate a wedding ceremony with sweeping mountain views across one of Maryland’s most beautiful and highly rated golf courses. Their 150 guests will enjoy a seated dinner reception in the light-filled Catoctin Hall and experience exquisite food with superb service. There is no venue fee and all food and non-alcoholic beverages have been donated by Musket Ridge.

“Winning this is a dream. We honestly had no idea how we would afford a wedding,” said Casinover. “We planned to go to the Justice of the Peace. This lets me give Christine the best wedding possible and for all of our loved ones to be present to celebrate. We are ecstatic!”

Three vendors will donate their services to the couple. Holly Heider Chapple Flowers (www.hollychappleflowers.com) will contribute wedding flowers. The bride will receive a professional makeup application courtesy of Aaren King of MADE Makeup (www.mademakeup.com). Officiant Norman Ross ([email protected]) has volunteered to perform the ceremony.

Musket Ridge has been one of Golfweek’s top ten courses in Maryland for the past 6 years and was named Best Golf Course in Frederick Magazine’s Best of Frederick 2009 Awards. Catoctin Hall at Musket Ridge has been called “Maryland’s Best New Event Venue” and is the only zero food waste facility on the East Coast.
