POCONO PINES, PA – September 1, 2011 – Wild Pines Golf Club, formerly owned by a regional bank, was sold to a group of private investors on August 26, 2011.
In March 2010, with the golf season about to begin, the bank hired Affinity Management (www.affinitymanagement.com) with the mission to reopen the Club and preserve the asset for future sale. Affinity accomplished that, opening the Club within two weeks and stabilizing the Club to achieve solid seasons in 2010 and 2011.
With this transition to a new owner, Affinity wanted to do something for the community on behalf of the bank. David Swales, managing director of Affinity Management, commented that “We are a community-minded company and we don’t like waste, so we were delighted to donate the Club’s approximately $10,000 food inventory to the Salvation Army of East Stroudsburg.”
Club Manager John Trimarche commented, “The donation was a generous amount of food. It not only felt good, but was consistent with Affinity’s management style. Affinity made giving back to the community a priority. Their Wild Pines Has a Heart events gave local folks who had fallen on hard times a complimentary lunch or dinner at the Club. The Community Appreciation Day donated proceeds to local Fire, EMS and Police.”
Affinity Management advises, manages and owns private clubs, golf courses, equestrian facilities and other member-based businesses. Affinity has helped clubs in twenty-four states since 1997, and has a strong and growing practice in providing professional management for lenders post-foreclosure as well as borrowers aiming to avoid foreclosure.
